“A true marriage, not just a wedding” for long-term partners Ciara and Caroline.

October 7 2017, Ballyseede Castle in Tralee

Having known each other for years before their fairy-tale romance began, Ciara and Caroline knew they were “always destined to be together”, and once their paths crossed there was “no stopping the magic”.

They worked hard to build their own little family, and Phoebe, age four, and Noah, age two, both played important roles in their mothers’ special day. Ciara and Caroline’s wedding was a celebration of not only two, but four people bound together by love and family. This sentiment was expressed wonderfully by Phoebe who said; “We’re all getting married!”

Ciara and Caroline chose to hold their autumn wedding in their dream location; Ballyseede Castle in Tralee, which fit their woodland autumnal theme.

The Wedding Details Ciara found her dream gown online on, while Caroline found hers in Vows, Blarney. The bridesmaids, and flower girl Phoebe, were also outfitted by Vows, while the groomsmen found their suits in Quills and Debenhams. Noah, who acted as page boy for his parents’ big day, was dressed in a waistcoat from online Etsy shop: Four Tiny Cousins.

Ciara and Caroline sourced their beautiful flowers from All About Flowers, Killorglin, while the cake arrangement was designed by their niece, Aine Fehilly, to fit their theme.

The happy couple chose to spend the night before the ceremony in the Ballyseede bridal suite and enjoyed a relaxed wedding morning with their bridesmaids. Their hair was done by stylists from Mint Boutique, Killorglin, and makeup applied by artists from The Powder Rooms, Killorglin.

The ceremony was officiated by Romy McCauley, from A Beautiful Ceremony, in Ballyseede Castle’s Stone Room. Ciara commended Romy’s “beautiful way with words” that, with the help of music from singer Jean Elliot Murphy, created a “magical, intimate” ceremony which, for one guest, was like witnessing “a true marriage, not just a wedding”.

The newlyweds danced the night away with their guests to lively music from local band The Bansha Boys and topped off their celebrations with a “familymoon” in Lanzarote with their two beautiful children.

Their special day was captured by Sarah Hensman of SarahJanes Photography who “worked tirelessly to ensure that she didn't miss any details and has an amazing capacity to immerse herself into intimate settings without making anyone feel uncomfortable.”
